Dr. Helbert Acosta
M.D., F.A.C.C.

Dr. Acosta received his undergraduate training at Colegio de Barranquilla para Varones in Colombia and his medical degree from Universidad Del Valle in Colombia. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Miami University, Miami, Florida. His Cardiology Fellowship training was completed at the State University of New York, Buffalo, New York and his Cardiology Electrophysiology Fellowship Training at Oklahoma University Hospital, Oklahoma.

Dr. Acosta is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Cardiology, Heart Rhythm Society, and the European Heart Rhythm Association.

Dr. Acosta became a part of the Quad Cities community in 2000. He is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Cardiac Electrophysiology. He is licensed to practice medicine in Illinois and Iowa, and is available for outpatient consultation and follow-up visits at the Moline Illinois location. Dr Acosta has staff privileges at Trinity Medical Centers and Genesis Medical Centers.

Dr. Acosta has been recognized by Trinity Health System with the "Distinction of Healthcare Hero" for outstanding care and patient satisfaction. He has received this distinction in October 2008, November 2008, and twice in August of 2009.
