Dr. Kovach received his undergraduate training, Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering and his Medical Degree at The Ohio State University. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Kovach received his Electrophysiology Fellowship through Vanderbilt University.

His professional skills include radiofrequency catheter ablation, transseptal technique, ICD and pacemaker implantation, biventricular pacing and consultative electrophysiology.

Dr. Kovach is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology. His professional memberships include Cardiac Electrophysiology Society and The North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology.

He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Cardiac Electrophysiology and Nuclear Cardiology.

He is licensed to practice in both Iowa and Illinois and is available for outpatient consultation and follow-up visits at the Moline, Silvis and Terrace Park locations. He has staff privileges at Trinity Medical Centers and Genesis Medical Centers. He joined Cardiovascular Medicine, PC in August 2003.

Dr. Kovach is married to Dr. Rafat Padaria and they have two children.
