Dr. Lewis was born in Timmins, Ontario, Canada. He received his undergraduate and medical school degrees from Queen.s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He completed his Internship and Junior Residency at Hotel-Dieu Hospital in Montreal, Canada, and his Senior Residency at Montreal General Hospital. Training for his Fellowship was completed at both the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio and at Kingston General Hospital, Kingston, Ontario.

He went to Dubuque, Iowa, in 1977 and served as a Cardiologist for Medical Associates. In 1978, he opened a solo private practice in Dubuque as a Cardiologist/Internist. He joined Cardiovascular Medicine, P.C. in 1988.

He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Iowa Medical Society, the Scott County Medical Society, and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Lewis is licensed in both Iowa and Illinois and is available for outpatient consultation and follow-up visits at the Davenport East Rusholme, Clinton and Maquoketa locations. He has staff privileges at Genesis Medical Centers and Trinity Medical Centers. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
