Denée Brown works with electrophysiologist, Dr. Mark Kovach. Her prior clinical experience includes four years of nursing caring for patients in medical, surgical, mental health, emergency, and intensive care units. Two of those years were in an outpatient cardiac procedure unit. She also has experience in biomedical research, analytical chemistry and as an educator.
Denée attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 1989. She continued her education at Texas A&M Health Science Center receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011. She was further educated at Georgetown University earning her Master of Science in 2016.
Denée is Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the Iowa Nurse Practitioner Society.
Professionally, Denée has a passion for helping patients discover ways to optimize their health and quality of life by combining medical treatments and lifestyle choices. Her work as a Nurse Practitioner fuels her desire to learn new things and combines it with the passion to help others to feel and be well.
Denée's personal interests include spending time outdoors, gardening, and processing her homegrown vegetables. She also loves to spend time with her family, which includes two sons, a dog, and a cat.
