Mark W. Kovach,
Dr. Kovach received his undergraduate training, Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering and his Medical Degree at The Ohio State University. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Kovach received his Electrophysiology Fellowship through Vanderbilt University.
His professional skills include:
· complex ablation, including ablation of atrial fibrillation
· pacemaker and defibrillator implantation
· lead extraction
· radial catheterization
· left atrial appendage occlusion with Watchman device
• Remede implantation (treatment for central sleep apnea)
Dr. Kovach is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology. His professional memberships include the Heart Rhythm Society and The North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology.
He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Cardiac Electrophysiology, Nuclear and Computed Tomography (CT) Cardiology.
He is licensed to practice in both Iowa and Illinois and is available for outpatient consultation and follow-up visits at the Moline, Bettendorf, Silvis, and Muscatine locations. He has staff privileges at UnityPoint Health and Genesis Medical Centers. He joined Cardiovascular Medicine in August 2003.
