Practitioners

Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants assist our Physicians in providing the best care for patients with heart failure, heart attacks, angina, cardiac, and vein diseases as permitted by their licensure.

Alyssa Hartweg

MSN, ARNP, FNP-BC

Alyssa Hartweg supports the physicians of Cardiovascular Medicine in the hospital setting. Her prior clinical experience includes nine years in the Emergency Department. Critical care management and cardiac cases within the ED has always been her passion.

Alyssa attended Oakland University, graduating with a Bachelor of Health Sciences with a concentration on pre-professional health. She then attended Trinity College of Nursing, graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She furthered her education by attending Bradley University, receiving her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2019. She strives for continued education and excellence in care.

Alyssa is Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Alyssa’s professional interests include acute coronary syndrome and arrhythmias. In her free time, she enjoys watching or playing sports, spending time with her family, and loves a good brunch.
