Practitioners
Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants assist our Physicians in providing the best care for patients with heart failure, heart attacks, angina, cardiac, and vein diseases as permitted by their licensure.
Tara Gengler
MSN, APN, ACNP-BC
Tara Gengler works with Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Bouyella Reddy. Her clinical experience includes six years as a Primary Care Provider for Genesis Health Group and three years as an Advanced Practice Provider for Dr. Sora Reddy. She also worked as a staff nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit and as a Clinical Care Coordinator at UnityPoint Health Trinity.
Tara attended Blackhawk College and received her Associate Degree in Nursing as an RN in 2005. She attended the University of Iowa and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006. She furthered her education at the University of Illinois at Chicago receiving her Master of Science in Nursing and completing the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program in 2009.
Tara is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the American College of Cardiology.
Tara’s professional interests include the prevention and treatment of coronary artery disease. She also has a special interest in managing heart failure. In her spare time, she enjoys playing golf, traveling, and loves to spend time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
