Practitioners
Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants assist our Physicians in providing the best care for patients with heart failure, heart attacks, angina, cardiac, and vein diseases as permitted by their licensure.
Cara Voelliger
MS, DNP, ARNP, AGACNP-BC
Cara Voelliger works with Interventional Cardiologist, Dr. Srikanth Kasula. Her cardiac experience includes five years working in the Intensive Care Unit at UnityPoint Trinity. She has also worked at Midwest Cardiovascular Research Foundation.
Cara attended Loras College and received her Bachelors Degree in Biological
Research in 2011. She attended Creighton University graduating in 2013 with her Masters of Science in Health Care Ethics. She furthered her education at Trinity College of Nursing and Health Sciences graduating in 2015 from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Accelerated Program. In 2019, Cara graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago receiving her Doctor of Nursing Practice.
Cara is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of Iowa Nurse Practitioner Society and the Quad Cities APN/PA Alliance.
Cara’s professional interests include coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and TAVR procedures.
