Practitioners

Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants assist our Physicians in providing the best care for patients with heart failure, heart attacks, angina, cardiac, and vein diseases as permitted by their licensure.

Joe Kopera

DNP, ARNP, AGACNP-BC

Joe supports the physicians of Cardiovascular Medicine in the hospital setting. His prior clinical experience includes 8 years of medical and cardiac critical care as a registered nurse.

 

Joe attended St. Ambrose University and graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2016. He furthered his education by attending the University of Illinois at Chicago, receiving his Doctorate of Nursing Practice with the specialty of Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in 2024.

 

Joe is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

 

Joe's professional interests include critical care, rehabilitation, dysrhythmia management, and professional relationship development. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and daughter. He also enjoys fly fishing, making fly fishing lures, and gardening.
