Rhonda Peterson works with interventional cardiologist Dr. Aswartha Pothula. Her cardiac experience includes 11 years working as a registered nurse providing care to cardiac and vascular patients. She delivered patient care in a wide variety of hospital settings, ranging from intensive care to outpatient settings. ​ Rhonda attended Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa, and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2000. She furthered her education at the University of Illinois at Chicago receiving her Master of Science in Nursing and completed the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program in 2011. ​ Rhonda is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She is also certified as a Cardiac/Vascular Nurse by the American Nurses Credentialing Center since 2005. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Rho Eta Chapter, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing. ​ Rhonda's professional interests include providing quality advanced nursing care to patients in need of screening and treatment for cardiac and vascular disorders. She also enjoys spending time with her family.
