Our Advanced
Practitioners

Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants assist our Physicians in providing the best care for patients with heart failure, heart attacks, angina, cardiac, and vein diseases as permitted by their licensure.

Danielle Wesner

MSN, APN, FNP-BC

Danielle works exclusively with Dr. Shen. Her prior clinical experience includes 15 years in healthcare starting as a CNA on a Cardiac Step Down Unit until graduating and working as a Registered Nurse on an Intensive Care Unit as well as several years on a Medical Telemetry Unit. She also has 7 years experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice.

 

Danielle attended St. Ambrose University graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She furthered her education by attending Chamberlain College of Nursing, receiving her Masters of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner Certification in 2017.

 

Danielle is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, Iowa Nurse Practitioner Society, and Quad City Area APN/PA Alliance.

 

Her professional interests include heart disease, arrhythmia management, and device therapy. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her husband and children.
